The MURDOCK MS Study group celebrated its enrollment closeout with participants and researchers at the NC Research Campus on November 9. The study has spent five years enrolling participants with the goal of finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
The event also recognized the launch of Discovery MS, an independent MS research program focused on identifying and understanding critical elements of MS such as its origins and progression.
Through innovative and collaborative research, Discovery MS will allow investigators to apply a variety of approaches to investigate questions aimed at understanding the pathogenesis of MS. Multiple lines of discovery point to promising leads on new diagnostic biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets to halt disease progression.
