Mitochondrial Colloquium

Tim Koves, Deb Muoio, and Pang Yao who, together with Dr. Harvey Cohen, organized  The Duke Interdisciplinary Colloquium on Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Aging and Disease have much to smile about following the successful event which was held on Friday May 30 in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center.  “Mitochondriacs” from many Duke Medicine departments and laboratories throughout the Triangle, gathered to listen and learn about all things mitochondria.  Oral presentations and poster sessions sparked lively discussions, many of which promise to lead to future collaborations.  The colloquium was sponsored by the Duke School of Medicine, Duke Pepper Center for the Study of Aging and Development, and the Duke Molecular Physiology Institute.
