Postdoctoral Fellowship Positions
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Yi-Ju Li, a statistical geneticist with research interest in statistical method development and its applications to genomic data derived from human disease genetic studies.
The Postdoctoral Associate will study the genetics of Alzheimer disease (AD) and postoperative outcomes after cardiac surgeries. This position will work closely with methodology development, computer program development, and genome wide genetic data analysis. The primary area of methodology development will be family-based association tests for quantitative and survival outcomes, respectively. Other new methodological topics may be pursued as well. The work will include computer programs development such as R packages for the in-house methods. The Postdoctoral Associate will also involve in analyzing large genome wide single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and whole genome and exome sequence data for various phenotypes. Through these projects, the postdoctoral fellow will develop his/her research expertise in both theoretical and applied domains of statistical genetics. He/she will develop statistical analysis plan (SAP) and write summary reports, and participate in manuscript development as the first author or a co-author. He/she will have the access to state of the art computing system for human genetic studies.
