David D’Alessio heads Duke effort for DERC grant

We are pleased to announce the award of a new NIH Diabetes Endocrinology Research Center (DERC) grant, representing a collaboration between the Wake Forest, UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke Medical Centers.

DMPI faculty member and Duke Endocrinology Division Chief, Dr. David D’Alessio leads the Duke group in this endeavor, which will provide opportunities for Pilot and Feasibility grants to faculty at each of the three schools. The DMPI Metabolomics and Proteomics laboratory is the Duke core that will be funded as part of this program, based on its extraordinary history of collaboration and productivity.

Senior members of the core lab are shown in the photo—congratulations to all!
