
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Leanna Ross was recently elected as a Fellow of the American Heart Association conferred by the Council on Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health (LIFESTYLE). Fellowship recognizes and awards professional members for excellence, innovative and sustained contributions in the areas of scholarship, practice and/or education, and volunteer service within the AHA. With a background in exercise physiology, physical activity epidemiology, and transdisciplinary collaborations, Dr. Ross’ research is focused on two main areas: 1) identifying the role of exercise in precision medicine for clinical care; and 2) determining the sustained, legacy health effects of exercise training.
