TaqMan® SNP Genotyping Assays are used to amplify and detect specific alleles in genomic DNA (gDNA).
Normalized gDNA is combined with master mix, primers, and probes to allow for specific annealing during qPCR amplification. The resultant emitted fluorescent signals are read on the QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR system to generate an allelic discrimination plot and genotyping results.
Focused uniplex SNP genotyping can be performed with both pre-developed and custom TaqMan® SNP Genotyping Assays.
Sample Requirements
- Human gDNA samples only
- 10uL of DNA at 10ng/uL – can be used for up to 3 SNPs
